Common Charges We See in Nevada City

Truckee's geography and seasonal population create specific arrest patterns. We regularly post bail for:

  • DUI — Highway 49 and surrounding roads generate consistent DUI enforcement. California's 10% bail bond fee applies regardless of charge.

  • Domestic violence — Carries mandatory arrest in California. Bail is typically set but a judge may impose release conditions.

  • Drug charges — Possession and sales charges are common. Bail amounts vary significantly by charge type.

  • Warrant arrests — Outstanding warrants are frequently served during traffic stops. If you suspect a warrant exists, call us before any contact with law enforcement.

  • Probation violations — In many cases a "no-bail hold" is placed until a judge reviews. We'll tell you immediately if this applies and what to expect.
